If you use lethal rounds and say your life was in danger because of XYZ. Was the gun holder in Danger and if so what degree. The DA, will look at one thing in a shooting. And now if the criminal can proof to much force you get sued. The law will say if you think all you needed was less lethal then you were not in danger of losing your life and could have fled or whatever. One last addition remember police use rubber bullets to control a situation, a shotgun is to protect not control a person. Suggestion use #8 with a low load shells or something that still considered lethal, but will maybe be less liability but only use as mentioned life in danger. I like less lethal for certain items but I look at less lethal as still having steel bb's not rubber so my less lethal is still considered lethal with that ability. Life is in eminent avoidable danger you can shoot and not fear ( as much) being sued even if he lives. Using lethal force is actually less complicated. Less lethal is area that the criminals can say you used to much force.Ģ. The cops may see that as excessive force. The problem is lets say you break in a house with no weapons and I take my bat and beat you senseless. you are 10x more adapt to get sued for using less lethal rubber then lethal. Hey, there are good and bads of a less lethal rubber.ġ.
